LOCATION :
Kinabalu Port: Lat 5( 59′ N Long 116( 0 E
Sepangor Bay: Lat 6( 5′.2 N Long 116( 7′.3 E
PORT LIMITS:
Gaya Bay and waters to the South West bounded by a line joining Tanjong Aru and the Northern point of Pulau Gaya thence a line to Gaya Head including rivers entering same for a distance of 600 ft, inland from the mouth of the river.
PILOTAGE :
Frequency: Port Control: Ch 16; 12)
Pilotage is not compulsory. However, pilot normally available between 0600 hours and 1800 hours.
SANDAKAN
LOCATION:
Sandakan: Lat 4( 48′.4 N Long 118( 4′.8 E
PORT LIMITS:
a) From Sandakan Bay bounded by a line drawn in a West South West direction from the Northern Point of Pulau Berhala to the mainland.
b) From the same point on Pulau Berhala to the most Eastern extremity of Tanjung Aru and thence to the opposite bank entrance of Trusan Duyong, including all passages and rivers entering the same for a distance of 600ft inland from the mouth of the river.

Procedures
i. Pilotage compulsory and available 24 hours.
ii. Vessels should send requests for pilot at least 24h in advance together with ETA, number of passengers, health situation mainfest and quantity of (fresh) water required.
iii. Messages may be send through Singapore (9VG)
ANCHORAGE :
For loading timber:
A black and white conical buoy situated 1.2 miles south west from Government Wharf indicated the anchorages. It is important that vessels should anchor as close to this buoy as possible, when anchored further from the shore it may take up to an hour or longer for launches towing rafts of timber to reach ship and in addition there is less shelter from the wind and weather.
For discharging:
Unless it is intended to come alongside the wharf, vessels discharging should anchor 4 cables due South of wharf. Wharf is 750ft long with dolphins placed 100ft from each and giving a total length of 950ft. If discharging into lighters and loading timber simultaneously, vessels should proceed to Timber Anchorage.
TAWAU
LOCATION:
Lat 04(14′N Long 117( 52′E
PORT LIMITS:
Tawau port consists of the waters of Cowie Bay and Wallace Bay and rivers entering same contained within the following limits:
A line from Lat 4(13′.3N Long 118( 00′.0E to the National boundary mark on the Eastern Shore of Sebatik Island thence to the National Boundary mark on the Western shores at Burs Point, thence in a 311 (T) direction to Lat 4( 20′.0 N Long 117( 25′.9 E thence in a 070 (T) direction to Lat 4( 25′.20 N Long 117( 40′.0 E thence in a 120 (To direction to the point of commencement).
PILOTAGE :
Frequency: Port: Ch 16; 12
Procedure:
i. Pilotage is not compulsory.
ii. However, pilotage is available from 0600 to 1800 hours.
iii. Application for berthing should be made 24h in advance, recommended through Singapore(9VG), when the following should be notified : Vessels name, GRT & NRT, LOA, draught fore and aft, ETA and ETD, nature and tonnage of cargo, No. of gangs required , quantity of fresh water required.
